GP Net Earnings

Publication of GP earnings – financial year 23/24 – Published April 2024

All GPs practices are required to declare the mean earnings (i.e. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The average pay for GPs working in Audlem Medical Practice in the last financial year was £73,463 before tax and national insurance. This is for five part-time GPs who have worked in the practice for more than six months.

Disclaimer: NHS England requires that the net earnings of GPs in practice be published, see above. However, the method of calculating this data is potentially misleading and does not take into account the time each GP devotes to the practice and therefore should not be used to compare one practice with another or to draw conclusions about GP earnings in general.

Chaperone Policy

During the course of your consultation with the Doctor or Nurse, it may be necessary for you to undergo an intimate examination.

These examinations are only undertaken where clinically indicated. We recognise that some patients may feel uncomfortable or vulnerable during such procedures, so we have Clinical Chaperones available for both male and female patients, should you or the clinician involved feel it would be appropriate and helpful.

Sometimes the examination needs to be done immediately, but often it can be booked for a later date, should you feel you need to prepare for this.

Please do not hesitate to ask if you would like a chaperone present during your consultation.
